How it works?

What hosting institute has to do?
The heads / contest coordinator of the institutes will

  • Receive all correspondence from ICATS including registration forms, brochures, posters, participants’ list and yearly calendar
  • Nominate a focal person who will acknowledge the receipt of correspondence from International CATS Contests through phone / email
  • Display posters on the institute’s notice board
  • Make announcements in all classes to inform the students that registration to ICATS Contests Opens
  • Communicate parents of students through diaries / notices about ICATS Contests deadlines
  • Motivate students to participate in very useful ICATS Contests
  • Register willing students in participants’ list (provided by ICATS Contests)
  • Receive participation fee Rs. 1000/- per contest from each student
  • Deposit participation fee in International CATS Contests online account in nearest bank or get issued a bank draft / pay order in favour of “International CATS Contests”
  • Fill up the registration form
  • Attach pay order / bank draft with the registration form
  • Send the registration form duly filled and signed along-with all annexures through courier services to Program Coordinator, International CATS Contests, Suite # S-5, 2nd Floor, Zainab Tower, 9-11, B-Block Commercial, Architect Society, Lahore.
  • Inform ICATS Contests, if any amendment is required, when confirmation of registration is received by the institute
  • Receive question papers for the contests
  • Conduct test within campus as per given schedule and following ICATS Contests’ manual on how to conduct the tests?
  • Send solved papers through courier services to Program Coordinator, International CATS Contests, Suite # S-5, 2nd Floor, Zainab Tower, 9-11, B-Block Commercial, Architect Society, Lahore.
  • Receive results, certificates, shields / souvenirs, cash prizes, tablets, Smart Andriod Watches, USBs, ICATS T-Shirts / CAPs and distribute to the concerned students

How to register?
Please carefully read the instructions including registration deadline, fee, contest date, and eligibility criteria of the competition you want to participate in at ICATS website. Please note that registration applications can only be submitted by the Schools. Individual registration applications are not accepted. Minimum participation from respective grade should not be less than 5 participants.

  • Download the registration form and fill it up
  • Put signature and date on the form
  • Attach Pay Order / Bank Draft with the form
  • Send the registration form to International Competence and Aptitude Testing Services (ICATS) at Suite # S-5, 2nd Floor, Zainab Tower, 9-11, B-Block Commercial, Architect Society, Lahore.

What is participation eligibility?
All regular students of private / public sector schools are eligible to participate in the contests. Students are required to apply through their schools only, individual applications are not entertained.

How many categories of the contest are there?
The five categories of the contests are as under:

  1. Toddlers (Classes 1 – 2)
  2. Kids (Classes 3 – 4 )
  3. Juniors (Classes 5 – 6 )
  4. Juveniles (Classes 7 – 8 )
  5. Adolescents (Classes 9 – 10 / O-Levels)

How many levels of the contest are there?
The levels of the contest are as under:

  1. School Level Contest
  2. Province Level Contest
  3. Country Level Contest

What is registration deadline?
Every contest has different registration deadline which can be seen at the page of that particular contest.

What is the date of contest?
Every contest has different schedule which can be seen at the page of that particular contest.

How can I prepare for the contest?
Students are advised to prepare their course syllabuses. Tests are prepared specifically from the relevant courses / syllabuses taught in their schools / colleges. Most of the times, preparation of anything else other than their schools / colleges syllabuses is neither required nor desired. Sample and past papers can also help in this regard.

Can our institution get registered for the Contest after the deadline?
Yes, institutions can get registered for the contest on payment of applicable late fee charges.

What happens if my institution sends registration forms before the application deadline but it is received late at the ICATS head office due to postal delays?
Institutions should make sure that ICATS receive all registration applications before the deadline. Forms that reach ICATS head officer after the deadline are rejected.

How to make payment?
Payments can be made through Pay Order / Bank Draft issued in the favor of “ICATS CONTESTS. Direct Deposit / Online transfer into ICATS CONTESTS bank account is also acceptable.

Can we make payment in cash?
No, cash payments are not accepted at the head office.

Can we send the registration fee in cash?
No, cash payments are not accepted.

Can we send the registration fee through Cross Cheque/Money Order/Postal Order etc?
No, Cross Cheque/Money Order/Postal Order etc are not accepted.

From where can we get the Pay Order/Bank Draft?
The Pay Order / Bank Draft are issued by all commercial banks.

In whose favor the Pay Order/Bank Draft should be issued?
The Pay Order / Bank Draft should be issued in the favor of “ICATS CONTESTS”.

Our Institution is not interested in hosting the International CATS Contests, can we still participate in the competition?
No, individual entries are not allowed. Students can register through their schools only. You should request your principal / coordinator / teacher to get you registered for the contest.

Can one student take part in more than one contest at a time?
Yes, one student can take part in as many contests as he / she wants.

Where and how the test will be conducted?
Students do not travel to take tests. The test will be conducted in their own school / college premises as per schedule given by ICATS. The school principal / coordinator will conduct test. A supervisor from ICATS will also visit examination center on the test date.

What is the participation fee for participating in the ICATS contest?
The participation fee for the contest is Rs. 1000 per contest per participant.
